Midwifery care for those born to take flight
Home Birth - Birth Center - Childbirth Education
Congratulations on your pregnancy and desire to have an empowered birth rooted in intuition, empowerment, and midwifery care.
The bumble bee carries a special type of magic that feels familiar to birth. The world once believed the bumble bee’s wings were too small to carry it, but the bumble bee never asked anyone’s permission to fly. It simply trusted the wisdom woven into its design.
Birth asks something similar of us… It invites us to quiet the outside noise and listen to the rhythm that lives within us.
Whether you choose to give birth at home or at the birth center, the journey is often the same… It’s about moving through uncertainty while discovering a strength within that you never knew existed.
Why the Bumble Bee?
Our childbirth classes are designed for families who want more than informational guidance, they want clarity, and preparation that actually works.

Meet Sheali Forsyth
Credentials: A.U.S. | C.D. | C.C.E.
Sheali’s journey into midwifery began at the age of sixteen when her mother gave birth to her youngest brother at home. While attending her mom’s prenatal appointments she became fascinated by the personalized care a home birth midwife offered.
Hearing her brother’s heartbeat and seeing ultrasounds connected her to pregnancy and birth in a way that absolutely mesmerized her.
The experience left a lasting impression and from that moment on, she knew she wanted to become a midwife, and help families experience the same sense of love and empowerment.
Sheali’s advice to her patients:
You have to find your own way. There will be lots of voices telling you what to do. Birth is a trial run for parenthood, it includes setting boundaries and deciding what you want for yourself and your family. If you don’t feel safe in a hospital, have your baby at home. If you only feel safe in a hospital, that’s where birth will be best for you. A stressed mom makes for a difficult birth… Find an environment and team that puts you at ease and you’ll be setting yourself up for a positive experience!
As a midwife in active preceptorship, Sheali provides care with the unique benefit of both her own dedicated support and the guidance of her mentor and friend, Kim Onile, an experienced, established midwife.
This collaborative approach provides the families she serves with the personalized, relationship-focused care they deserve while also benefiting from the wisdom, and clinical insight that comes from Kim’s years of hands-on experience.
The role of our midwives Sheali and Kim is to:

“This was my first baby, and I'm someone who almost let the fear of hospitals and birth keep me from having a child. Sheali helped ease my fears and was incredibly thorough throughout my pregnancy-setting up a birth plan, answering all my questions, and more. She was a godsend during the birth and postpartum as well. I wouldn't have achieved my goal of an unmedicated birth without her; she provided so much physical and mental support through the entire process. When I tell family and friends I went unmedicated, they are shocked. I give her all the credit—I truly couldn't have done it without her.”

"Sheali is the best! We lived out of state for a few months so we worked with Sheali over the phone which was great. She was very responsive to text messages and phone calls. When it was time for my baby to come, Sheali showed up in a timely manner. She not only helped me with pain and birth positions, but she helped my husband and sister know how to help me as well. She applied counter pressure during contractions, offered much verbal support listened to me talk and whine and ask questions without judgement or annoyance. Sheali is the sweetest and so easy and fun to work with. I would absolutely hire her again!!"

"I am so grateful we got to have Sheali as our doula! After all my miscarriages, I had a lot of fears and doubts. She supported and listened to me. During labor she came to help with early labor at our apartment and then went with us to the birth center. She was incredibly helpful during labor with many tools to help with my desire to have a natural birth. She stayed up all night with us and encouraged me to keep going. She also was really helpful with helping me figure out how to breastfeed after birth."

"I had the pleasure of working with Sheali for the birth of my second child. I knew I needed someone attentive who could help me navigate birth again with an 8 year gap between my kids. She was incredible! She advocated me and helped me prepare my birth plan so I felt as ready as I could be. She was right by my side in the delivery room, applying counter pressure, suggesting different positions and encouraging me to breathe. I’m so grateful I worked with Sheali and I will definitely seek her out again!"
